Many people become surprised when they hear I have a website. Personally, I believe everyone should have a personal website. Here’s why I have a website…
“This is undoubtedly the single most important branding tool you can have. It is the first way in which most people will encounter you.
It will shape their opinion of you.”
– Michael Hyatt on Websites
In this podcast, I will share the reasons why I have a website. In the process, I hope I inspire you to build and maintain your own website.

Why I Have a Website
My website helps me accomplish 4 things: gain clarity, save time, build trust, and protect my brand.
Gain Clarity
When I create posts, I must respect the audience’s time. My ideas must become easy to transmit. I get to the point and say what needs to be said.
Save Time
I find myself having the same conversation with different people. Rather than repeating myself, I can refer people to specific posts. Also, the site enables me to express myself 24/7/365 without having to actually be there. This scales my impact faster.
Build Trust
People gain a feel for the way I communicate. When they see consistency, they know I mean what I say. This added trust brings opportunities that would not exist otherwise.
Protect My Brand
A brand is really a reputation earned when we make a promise and live up to our word. Building, owning, and maintaining my website is insurance for my brand. Many creative undertakings fail; however, my website gives me an opportunity to recover gracefully if an endeavor runs its course.
In Sum
My personal website helps me gain clarity, save time, build trust, and protect my brand. Using this tool brings me wonderful relationships and opportunities. You too can do the same for yourself.
